Carlos E. Mora is the founder and principal of Mora Munoz Partners. Over more than two decades in investment banking, corporate finance, and fintech, he has advised companies, financial sponsors, and financial institutions across North and Latin America on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and strategic capital initiatives.
Carlos brings a distinctive perspective on capital structures and negotiations, shaped by experience across the full spectrum of transactions—from early-stage venture financings in fintech startups to middle-market corporate transactions in sectors such as oil and gas, as well as large-scale multi-billion-dollar M&A mandates.
Throughout his career, he has operated from multiple vantage points, including advisor, entrepreneur, and senior finance executive, allowing him to approach transactions with both analytical rigor and an operator’s understanding of how financial decisions affect businesses in practice.
He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from ITAM and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
